Communication Takes Work Every Day
Sam: Don’t finish her sentences, no matter how boring, trivial or repetitive.
Sam: I think quicker than she does and know exactly what she's about to say, but I don't interrupt and finish her sentences. That makes her angry for some reason. So I just sit there and listen.
Foxy: It took me years to get him to just listen and stop solving my problems. He finally gets it.
Sam: I listen to what she says and don’t offer a solution on how to fix things.
I could solve all her problems in a nanosecond but she doesn’t want solutions. She just wants to talk about her problems over and over.
Foxy: I don’t like everything he says but I try not to show it.
My biggest gripe is everything has to be his idea. I let him think it is, but we know better. Mr. Expert gets on my nerves sometimes.
